Founder, Miller-Klein Associates Ltd
Richard is an accomplished strategist and innovator with 40 years’ experience delivering innovation in academic, private and public-sector organisations. Originally trained as a chemist, he has worked in industrial R&D and innovation in many industries. His particular areas of focus are innovation strategy and process, sustainability and the circular economy, clean-tech, the built environment and the future of urban living. While working with Innovate UK he developed and led programmes on low impact buildings, urban living, resource efficiency and sustainability. Currently, he is supporting several organisations in two challenges; thinking through how widespread deep retrofit of buildings can contribute to successful towns and cities, and developing strategies to encourage businesses to innovate more often and more successfully.
